Registered Nurse - High Intensity Care Unit (HICU)

This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule

Night shift: 3x12-Hour (19:00 - 07:00), every other weekend.

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse with a minimum of 2 years of experience to join our High Intensity Care Unit (HICU). This unit specializes in caring for patients requiring acute brain injury management, respiratory assistance, and rehabilitation services. The ideal candidate will work within a team to provide comprehensive care, including monitoring complex medical conditions and delivering sophisticated treatments.

Responsibilities

• Monitor patients with cardiac conditions and complex medical issues.
• Provide respiratory care and rehabilitation services.
• Administer medications and manage intravenous therapy.
• Perform assessments and develop care plans tailored to patient needs.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 2 years of clinical experience in an HICU or similar environment.
• Current ACLS and BLS certifications required.
• Valid Maryland or Compact nursing license required at the time of submission.
