Yard Spotter

Class A CDL Truck Driver

On site position. Responsible for safe and efficient movement of trailers to and from dock doors. Communicate all movements to shipping lead.

Responsibilities include:

• Safely operate a hydraulic fifth wheel and TADC with 53' dry van.
• Move trailers in and out of dock doors for loading and unloading.
• Climb in and out of tractor to hook and unhook trailers.
• Ensure trailers are clean and free of debris before docking.
• Adhere to all company policies.
• Adhere to all state, local, and federal laws.
• Secure loads before dropping trailers.
• Communicate yard operation issues to manager on duty.
• Note and correct asset repairs before preloading.
• Perform daily shift communication transition.

Minimum qualifications:

Valid Class A CDL without airbrake restrictions from the state of permanent domicile.

Three years of verifiable experience operating a commercial motor vehicle (CMV) 12 months or 150,000 miles.

Read, write, speak, and understand English clearly.

DOT applications must be complete and accurate and should:

• Include a seven-year MVR with application.
• Reflect all periods of employment, unemployment, self employment, and education for the past 10 years. All activities in the last three years must be verifiable.
• Meet or exceed the medical standard of DOT, including passing a physical exam and drug test administered by a company approved facility.
• Possess a valid Social Security Card.
• No reckless driving violations in the last ten years.
• No suspension of license in the last ten years.
• No moving violations in the last three years no more than one in the last five years no at fault accidents within the last five years no more than two moving or non-moving violations in a five-year period. 1-3 years no more than one moving violation. 2-5 years no more than two moving violations.
• No failed or refused drug or alcohol test.
• No felony convictions within the last ten years from the time restitution was completed. Convictions older than ten years will be considered on a case by case basis.
• No controlled substance events no crimes against another person of any type.
• Misdemeanors will be considered on a case by case basis.
• No DWI, DUI, BAC, or open container convictions in the last ten years.
• Present a clean and professional appearance.
• Successful completion of Corrugated Logistics road test.
