Title: Statewide Coordinator Infant Toddler Court Team Program

Location: Hybrid Lansing, MI office

Purpose: This position will facilitate the spread, coordination and statewide infrastructure of Michigan's Infant-Toddler Court Program referred to locally as Baby Courts to ensure that children under the age of 3 years and their families in the child welfare system, or at-risk for entry into the child welfare system, receive high-quality, coordinated, developmental- and trauma-informed services. Statewide Coordinator is responsible for supporting the launch of Baby Court in Michigan by facilitating State Advisory Board and State Leadership Team meetings, supporting local community coordinators, and engaging with counties that are interested in exploring Infant Toddler Court Program implementation.

Duties and Responsibilities: Facilitate State Leadership Team meetings. Facilitate State Advisory Board and its sub-committees including the identification of members for the Board and its workgroups. Support local community coordinators through one-on-one meetings, group networking opportunities, training, and technical assistance. Understand each community's strengths and provide technical assistance for implementation of the Safe Baby Court Team model. Assess county capacity and fidelity to the Safe Baby Court Team model. Engage with counties that are interested in exploring Infant Toddler Court Program implementation. Lead in the development of guidelines process for application/selection of local sites. Facilitate training and technical assistance for Michigan Infant Toddler Court Program. Work with the evaluation team to present data that supports continuous quality improvement. Prepare reports regarding the project objectives/activities including data collection relevant to the project's objectives. Participate in meetings/conference calls with HRSA regarding the implementation of the funded project including conference calls/webinars with the project evaluators. Participate in national HRSA Project Conferences/Meetings as deemed appropriate. Represent the best interests of MDHHS and MPHI at all times. Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications/Requirements: Education: Minimum of a master's degree in Social Work, Psychology, Professional Counseling degree or related human services field, required. Licensure by the State of Michigan for professional discipline (MSW, LLP, LLPC/LPC) is desirable. Eligible for endorsement from the Michigan Association for Infant Mental Health.

Experience: A minimum of two years of previous experience with local Infant Toddler Court team (aka "Baby Court"). Experience working collaboratively with Community Mental Health Services Programs, child-serving human service systems and institutions of higher education.

Important Skills and Characteristics: Ability to coordinate with partners from state level partners (SCAO, CSA and MDHHS-Bureau of Children's Coordinated Health Policy and Supports), Community Mental Health Services Programs (CMHSPs), local courts and Children's Services Administration (CSA) and project evaluation team members. Possess knowledge of child welfare policy and procedures and Michigan's infant mental health services. Have experience coordinating and leading multi-disciplinary groups. Exhibit strong collaborative and problem-solving skills. Experience with data collection and program evaluation is desirable. Highly organized. Strong attention to detail. Self-motivated and able to work independently. Accurate and timely with data collection. Team player, strength based and dependable.

Work Environment and Physical Requirements: Job may require moderate physical effort including lifting materials and equipment of <50# and involves viewing a CRT or VDT screen 50% to 75% of the time. Workspace for remote work. Will require valid vehicle operator's license where needed to perform duties of the position (e.g., in-person meetings and site visits). Workspace will be provided when working in Lansing/attending required meetings.

IMPACT ON PROJECTS, SERVICES AND OPERATIONS: This project is a high impact project. It is funded by the Health Resources and Services Administration and critical to the ongoing work to integrated services for children and their families between the court, child welfare and behavioral health systems. The results will be of high interest to leadership of Bureau of Children's Coordinated Health Policy and Support and MDHHS.
