Accounting AssistantThe Accounting Assistant is responsible for supporting basic accounting and administrative functions.Duties and Responsibilities:Reconcile payable invoices and vendor statementsDistribute mail to a corporate and local retail locationPerform general administrative duties including copies, filing, and scanningRespond to inquiries via email and phoneData entry of invoices and other accounting information for payment or collectionSend collection letters and perform follow-up callsProcess finance applicationsAssist in weekly check runsPrepare weekly accounts receivable report for VP of FinanceOther applicable duties as assignedRequired Skills, Education, and Experience:High School Diploma or GED requiredKnowledge of basic accounting principles is a plusDemonstrated customer service skillsBasic computer skills including MS Office, with the ability to adapt to new software or internet-based programsStrong verbal and written communication skillsAbility to work in a team environmentClear attention to detail and ability to multi-taskAdaptable to change and meets varied deadlinesStrong work ethic and reliabilityAbility to maintain confidentialityPossesses a pleasant and professional demeanorWork Environment and Physical Requirements:Office/CubicalAbility to sit for extended periods of timeRequires performance of repetitive tasksMay occasionally lift objects over 25 poundsRequires adherence to a set scheduleTruMedia is an equal opportunity employer and will provide reasonable accommodations to perform the duties of this position.
