QC Support Analyst 3 - Blood Typing Solutions

Job Title: Quality Control Support Analyst 3 This role is part of the Immunohematology Quality Control department for Reagent Red Blood Cells (RRBC) and Gel Cards in San Diego, CA, reporting to the QC Supervisor. The primary job function is to test and release raw materials, sub-assemblies, or finished goods. Responsibilities Performs routine testing including release testing, performance testing, analytical testing, bioburden testing, and environmental monitoring using GMP/GLP practices. Performs data analysis and result interpretation comparing to specifications, validity criteria, alert limits. Maintains product and QC material inventories. Maintains and cleans laboratory space and equipment, stocking shelves/drawers with testing materials and calibrating or submitting items for calibration as needed. Completes required training promptly and maintains records. Revises QC documents (SOPs, QSs) and participates in lab investigations and out-of-specification investigations. Provides training to QC analysts on test methods. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Working knowledge of GMP/GLP Intermediate computer skills Some technical writing skills Problem solving skills Attention to detail Education B.A. or B.S. in a biological science or chemistry. Experience 0-2 years of relatable QC experience. Equivalency Depending on the area of assignment, directly related experience or a combination of directly related education and experience and/or competencies may be considered in place of the stated requirements. For example, if a job level typically requires an associate degree plus 2 years of experience, an equivalent could include 4 years of experience or a Bachelor’s degree. Occupational Demands Lift up to 25 lbs. Compensation and Benefits The estimated pay scale for this role based in California is $29.14 to $36.42 per hour, with eligibility to participate in up to 5% of the company bonus pool. Final compensation depends on education, experience, skill set, knowledge, location, internal equity, and market data.
