These products are used in commercial, infrastructure and industrial applications to protect people and property. ### **Area of Coverage**Finishing-Final Inspection (product from finishing to shipping)Quality-Scrap and Sample disposition### **Finishing Responsibilities:*** Perform AQL audit on production prior to processing to Shipping (running final inspection station).* Verifying all information on Tags is correct. (part #, piece counts, lot code)* Verify associated paperwork is with container – Traceability with employee processing* Help Train New Employees on Casting Defects –* Assist with Hot Inspection items as needed- (gathering parts from beginning and end of each job run).### Required Skills* Safety and Attendance* Casting Defect understanding* Product acceptance criteria* Basic Computer skills* Good communication skills* Ability to use and understand Basic Hand Gages (gauges used to verify castings meet criteria)**QA/Sample Area Responsibilities:*** Perform AQL audit on product staged for scrap* Assure not scrapping good castings* Scrap audits – mapping defect locations and cavity #* Feedback for scrap reduction* Control inventory of Samples (location, part #, piece counts, lot code)* Maintain scrap inventory log* Verify associated paperwork is with container – Sample Routing* Assure representative examples of scrap issues are available for scrap meetingsRequired Skills* Safety and Attendance* Casting Defect and Product acceptance criteria* Fork Truck license* Dump scrap in melt department scrap bay* Basic Computer skills (Edit and Print Sample packets)* Communicate sample feedback to tooling group* Assist with collection of castings for dimensional inspectionsThe noise level is such that earplugs must be worn at all times. Personal protective equipment must be worn at all times (ex. hard hat, safety glasses, ear plugs, and steel toe shoes). Safety equipment is provided by the Company with exception of steel toe shoes, which must be provided by employee upon the first day of employment. Shift times are subject to change. Employees must be willing to work 10 hours in one shift. Refusal to work as needed is considered a voluntary quit. Overtime: Employees must be willing and available to work overtime on a on-going basis if needed. Refusal to work mandatory overtime is considered a voluntary quit.
