Position Summary: SUNY Upstate Medical University is seeking a qualified Radiologic Technologist – CT to perform diagnostic imaging procedures under the direction of departmental radiologists. The Radiologic Technologist is responsible for performing radiographic and CT examinations to support physician diagnosis and patient care. This includes greeting and preparing patients, explaining procedures, positioning patients appropriately, and selecting optimal imaging techniques to ensure high-quality diagnostic studies. The technologist will maintain strict adherence to radiation safety protocols to minimize patient exposure while ensuring accurate imaging results. In this role, the technologist must demonstrate strong technical proficiency in operating imaging equipment, ensuring efficient performance, and promptly reporting any equipment malfunctions to supervisory staff. Responsibilities also include processing imaging data and entering accurate information into the Radiology Information System (RIS) to support documentation and billing functions. The technologist is expected to follow all departmental policies, procedures, and clinical protocols while maintaining compliance with regulatory standards. This position requires the ability to work collaboratively with radiologists and healthcare teams to deliver high- quality radiologic services aligned with the needs of referring physicians.
