Software Developer III

IDR is seeking a Software Developer III to join one of our top clients for an opportunity in Austin, TX.
This role involves overseeing the development, testing, and troubleshooting of complex software systems, particularly in support of large applications within a supportive team environment. The position offers a chance to work on critical projects that impact state applications and modernization efforts.

Position Overview for the Software Developer III:

• Oversee the coding, testing, and debugging of programs based on technical and functional requirements.
• Lead the development of flowcharts, diagrams, and manuals for production and end users.
• Coordinate research and analysis for project proposals, system modifications, and new initiatives.
• Review and optimize programs, SQL code, and database schemas to enhance system efficiency.
• Troubleshoot application issues by analyzing logs, system messages, and resource utilization.

Requirements for the Software Developer III:

• 15+ years of Java experience
• 10+ years of SQL database experience
• 8+ years of sustaining and development experience in large applications supported by a team
• 5+ years of Linux experience
• 8+ years of experience with Atlassian tool suite, especially JIRA
