Job Summary:
A sterile processing technician based in Seaside, Oregon. This position involves cleaning and sterilizing campus-wide instrumentation, including clinics and endoscope processing, within a critical access healthcare facility. The ideal candidate will have experience in sterile processing, certification in sterile processing, and proficiency with electronic charting systems.

Job Details:

• Shift: Days, 10 hours per day, minimum 40 hours per week
• Required Qualifications: Certification as a National Certified Registered Central Service Technician (CRCST) through the Healthcare Sterile Processing Association or a National Certified Sterile Processing and Distribution Technician (CSPDT) through the Certification Board for Sterile Processing and Distribution; at least 2 years of experience in sterile processing; proficiency with the Epic charting system; valid OR license (if applicable).
• Skills: Endoscope reprocessing, aseptic technique, automated endoscope reprocessors (AER), biological indicators, chemical agents for decontamination, high-level disinfection (HLD), sterilization wrapping procedures, scope/probe reprocessing, sterilization testing and monitoring, use of washers/ sterilizers, organizing trays, proper labeling and selection of wrapping materials, and familiarity with sterile processing microsystem procedures.
• Additional Information: Candidate must be able to work with various sterile processing equipment, perform cleaning, sterilization, and documentation procedures, and be flexible to float within the facility or to nearby affiliate hospitals. Candidates are required to have reliable transportation and must commit to working three of the five major holidays. All scheduling requests and time off must be requested upfront during the submission process.
