Mechanical Technician (Level 1)

Mechanical Field Technician

We are seeking a Mechanical Field Technician to work on-site at a customer location in Riverside, CA. This is a dedicated position with no travel required, focusing on providing hands-on technical support to meet customer requirements. The primary responsibility involves performing general maintenance and repairs on various mechanical equipment. This is a customer-facing role.

Responsibilities

• Use basic hand tools to perform on-site repairs, maintenance, and general service tasks. Conduct product demonstrations of basic mechanical equipment.
• Provide maintenance support and training to in-house maintenance staff as needed.
• Offer technical guidance and expertise where applicable.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Note: Must be able to work on your feet for extended periods.

Company tools will be provided. Candidates should have protective footwear (boots required, steel toe recommended but not required) and gloves. Safety goggles and earplugs will be provided on-site.

Qualifications

• High School degree required (Associate degree in a technology field such as mechanical, electrical, or electronics preferred).
• Broad knowledge of mechanical hand tools and principles.
• Understanding of PC applications, including Microsoft Windows, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Ability to use iPads to complete work orders, send/receive email, and attend team calls.
• Capability to present technical concepts to non-technical individuals.
• Ability to understand technical diagrams and manuals.
• Strong written and oral communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects with minimal direction.
• Adaptability to change and tight deadlines.
• Must be able to work independently with little supervision.
• Good customer service and organizational skills are necessary.
• Ability to reason, communicate, make cognitive decisions, understand deadlines and timelines, and provide accurate results.
• Flexibility to work extended hours during the workweek and have open availability to work weekends and holidays as needed.
• Must have the ability to lift 60 lbs. or less, carrying and lifting tools and parts weighing up to 20 lbs.
• Must be able to bend, squat, walk, stand, and/or sit for prolonged periods and carry 50 lbs.
• May be required to push and pull a cart with equipment weighing up to 60 lbs.
