Registered Nurse RN 3-11 & 11-7

Full Time Registered Nurse Opportunity

Rates up to $43.50 per hour plus evening and weekend differentials.

We are looking to hire full time registered nurses for 3-11 and 11-7 shifts!

The Phoenix Center for Rehabilitation & Pediatrics is a skilled nursing facility caring for both the geriatrics and pediatrics populations. We are currently seeking registered nurses for both units for all three shifts.

Responsibilities as a registered nurse:

• Be able to handle complexity of a pediatrics unit
• Ability to care for patients with NGT, GT, tracheostomy, wound care, and temperature instability
• Be able to care for patients on a ventilator machine
• Play an active role in direct resident assessment and care
• Supervise and coordinate nursing personnel in providing direct resident care in adherence to state and federal regulations
• Dispense medication and perform treatments in accordance with Phoenix Center policies and procedures
• Formulate individualized nursing care plans utilizing the nursing process
• Assess each resident daily and implement a change in the course of action as needed
• Assist the physician on rounds and ensure that pertinent information is communicated to and from him/her and orders are taken correctly
• Participate in the training and supervision of nursing personnel
• Assists with implementation of facility's Quality Improvement Program
• Assume responsibility for the identification of potential safety hazards and for the identification of non-compliance with facility guidelines
• Maintain accurate resident care records and documents
• Attend and participate in the resident care meetings, staff meetings, and in-services
• Take an active role in teaching and guidance to residents, families, and staff
• Assure that each resident's attending physician and family, or responsible party are promptly notified of any significant change in the resident's health condition
• Effectively utilize the general principles of leadership and supervision
• Manage conflict through effective problem-solving and communication skills
• Act calmly and efficiently in handling emergency situations

Requirements for a registered nurse:

• Completion of an accredited school of practical nursing
• Current license as a registered nurse in the state of New Jersey
