About the Position

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Progressive Care Unit Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Nights Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: 2+ years of experience required. License: Active RN License required. Certifications: Active American Heart Association BLS required. Active American Heart Association ACLS required. Must-Have: Post-operative open-heart care experience. Pre- and post-procedure care for patients with radial and femoral access. Proficiency in cardiac monitoring, including reading and interpreting cardiac rhythm strips. Advanced knowledge of cardiac and pulmonary abnormalities. Experience with procedures and equipment such as chest tube management, temporary pacemaker management, and non-invasive ventilation device troubleshooting. Ability to float to all units within skill level. Description: This position follows a clinical interview process. Candidates can expect outreach within two hours via phone and text when applicable. Decisions are typically made the same day or by the next business day. Applicants seeking more than seven days off or more than 50% of holidays off will not be eligible for the same processing timeline. The Registered Nurse assumes responsibility and accountability for the care of assigned patients during their shift. RN responsibilities include assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating patient care using age-specific criteria. Judgments are made based on scientific knowledge and clinical skills. The RN also assists in planning, directing, and teaching non-RN staff.
