General Function
To provide excellent customer service and advocate for a safe and inclusive environment for all who enter into Brunswick Community College's Dinah E. Gore Fitness & Aquatics Center. This


part-time position(s) will be responsible for providing lifeguarding services to patrons of the Aquatics Center.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Provide lifeguarding services to patrons of the Aquatics Center
• Provide a safe environment for aquatic patrons by enforcing and modeling facility rules
• Assist in cleaning and maintenance of aquatic center and locker rooms
• Assist in completion of records and reports including maintenance and incident reports
• Assist with additional duties as assigned
• Attend lifeguard in-service trainings

Minimum Qualifications

• Must hold current certifications in Lifeguarding, First Aid, CPR, and AED
• Must possess excellent customer service skills and the ability to work well with others
• Ability to work flexible hours including early morning, evenings, or weekends to participate in regular in service trainings
• Must possess strong decision making skills
• Ability to communicate effectively with patrons in a variety of situations
