Shipping Coordinator

Our client, a leading organization in the food production industry, is seeking a Shipping Coordinator to join their team. As a Shipping Coordinator, you will be part of the Administration department supporting various internal teams and external freight carriers. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently and collaboratively, which will align successfully in the organization.

Job Title: Shipping Coordinator

Location: Middleton, WI

Pay Range: $22-24/hr

Shift: 1st Shift - 7am - 4:30pm

What's the Job?

• Process package and freight shipments using the designated database, selecting the appropriate shipping methods based on delivery requirements.
• Verify accuracy of shipping information and coordinate with customer service to resolve discrepancies.
• Label packages and freight shipments properly and ensure timely pickup by freight carriers.
• Monitor shipments to ensure on-time delivery and resolve any delivery issues with carriers.
• Maintain accurate shipping records, prepare shipping documentation, and support rate negotiations with freight carriers.

What's Needed?

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum of one year experience in shipping and freight handling.
• Basic knowledge of shipping procedures, routes, and rates.
• Proficiency with Windows, Mac applications, and Microsoft Office.
• Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to follow instructions.
