Financial Wellness Specialist I (Windy City District)

Responsibilities Partner with Retail Banking leadership and the Financial Wellness Program Manager to execute consumer bank strategies and objectives to attract, retain, and grow relationships, fulfill clients’ financial needs, collaborate across the bank, and provide a first‑class client experience. Identify and develop a client book of business; provide in‑market support and involvement in fostering client relationships and uncovering opportunities. Act as the client’s personal trusted advisor by adding value and building deep relationships using the First Client Conversation Model. Participate in and lead huddles and meetings to support sales strategy. Consistently meet or exceed sales and referral goals set by management by effectively collaborating with lines of business to assist clients. Account for performance of the district and region and lead local teams. Maintain all operational and risk‑management standards. Model best practices for associates in the financial center and regions. Compliance & Regulatory Responsibilities Ensure adherence to all compliance and regulatory procedures, including BSA, Check 21, CIP, CRA, HMDA, Reg B, Reg D, Reg E, Reg CC, Truth in Savings, Privacy Compliance and the Patriot Act. Meet all compliance requirements imposed by state and federal law and adhere to First Financial Bank policies and procedures. Manage Bank Secrecy Act, Anti‑Money Laundering, OFAC and Suspicious Activity reporting requirements, as well as all other lending and deposit compliance requirements. Qualifications 3‑4 years of client experience in retail banking and/or the financial services industry. 3‑4 years of sales and service experience with proven success in achieving sales and service goals in a retail environment. High school diploma or GED required; associate’s or bachelor’s degree preferred and/or equivalent work experience in sales. Demonstrated success with consultative, needs‑based selling. Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills. Strong product knowledge related to consumer and commercial deposits, investments, consumer loans, business loans, and treasury management. Preferred Qualifications Experience with developing and managing a book of business. Knowledge of advanced consumer banking products and services. Location & Travel Serves the Windy City district covering the area from Lincoln Park to Chicago Ridge to Olympia Fields. Travel within the district footprint is required. Main office location will be based upon the selected candidate location. Physical Requirements Occasionally lifts and carries up to 20 lbs. (ability to set up presentations) Occasional walking; frequently sits, stands, and drives. Compensation Annual pay range: $58,000 - $78,000.
