AVIR at Alice is seeking a compassionate and dedicated Per Diem Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to join our in-house rehabilitation team. This is an excellent opportunity for a PTA who enjoys working directly with residents and collaborating with an interdisciplinary team to help residents improve mobility, regain independence, and achieve their functional goals. Position Responsibilities Provide skilled physical therapy services under the direction and supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist. Implement individualized treatment plans based on residents' needs and goals. Assist residents with therapeutic exercises, mobility training, balance activities, transfers, and functional activities. Monitor residents' progress and communicate changes to the supervising Physical Therapist. Document treatment sessions accurately and in a timely manner. Educate residents and caregivers on therapeutic exercises, mobility, and safety techniques. Collaborate with Physical Therapists, Occupational Therapists, Speech-Language Pathologists, nursing staff, and other members of the interdisciplinary team. Maintain compliance with facility, state, and federal regulations. Qualifications Current Texas Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) license in good standing. Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program. Strong clinical, communication, and organizational skills. Experience in skilled nursing, subacute rehabilitation, or a similar setting preferred. Compassionate, dependable, and resident-focused approach to care. New graduates are encouraged to apply.
