Registered Nurse (Rn)

The registered nurse (rn) provides holistic healthcare and education to clients in order to promote physical and mental health and well-being. The rn works in collaboration with other clinical and non-clinical staff to provide appropriate clinical interventions and treatment. Previous pediatric nursing or psychiatric nursing experience helpful. Graduate nurses welcomed!

shifts available:

position located in orefield, pa

multiple shifts available full-time, part-time and flex/weekend option positions

overnight and primarily 2nd shift hours are currently needed the most.

kidspeace offers a sign-on bonus to all full time rn's within the hospital and residential programs.

qualifications (education, training and experience):

• graduate of an accredited school of nursing and current pennsylvania registered nurse (rn)
• license in good standing required; bachelor of science in nursing (bsn) preferred.
• minimum of one year mental health, pediatric, adolescent or physical health nursing experience preferred.
• demonstrated ability to function as a member of a team required.
• excellent problem-solving, decision-making and conflict resolution skills required.
• must have the ability to express or exchange information by means of spoken word. must have the ability to read, understand, speak and write in english. bilingual skills helpful.
• possess a valid driver's license.
• cpr certification or immediate certification training required.
• must be able to be trained and certified to observe current kidspeace approved restraint methodology and have the ability to participate in and/or observe all aspects of restraint procedures on youth who may weigh in excess of 250 pounds and are verbally or physically threatening or otherwise presenting a threat to themselves or others.
• must be able to work ot if necessary.
