What you'll be doing Supervise nursing care provided by registered nurses, licensed practical nurses, and certified nursing assistants. Review and implement all nursing procedures and systems. Assess and evaluate systems that facilitate the delivery of quality resident care and staff performance. Use a systematic approach in the nursing process to provide individualized nursing care. Contribute to residents’ assessment (MDS/CAA’s) and develop a plan of care. Develop a plan of care based on assessment and implement nursing care. Evaluate residents’ responses to nursing interventions. Understand the rationale for the effect of medications and treatments and correctly administer them. Qualifications Certificate, license, or registration as an ADN or BSN. Current state license to practice as a nurse (RN). Current CPR certification; additional certification in a nursing specialty desired. Management or supervisor experience in long-term care or geriatric nursing desired. Demonstrated knowledge of basic nursing practice with an interest in gerontological nursing.
