Project Duration : 13 weeks

Shift : Monday - Friday Days

Pay Rate : $50-$54/hr

Job description:

The Infusion Registered Nurse (RN) is responsible for providing safe, high-quality infusion therapy to patients in an outpatient setting. This role includes administering intravenous (IV) medications, chemotherapy, biotherapy, blood products, and other prescribed treatments while monitoring patients for adverse reactions and ensuring compliance with clinical protocols.

Key Responsibilities:

· Administer therapeutic IV infusions, chemotherapy, biotherapy, and blood products according to physician orders and established protocols.

· Assess patients before, during, and after infusion treatments, monitoring for side effects and complications.

· Safely access and maintain peripheral and central venous access devices.

· Educate patients and families on treatment plans, medications, potential side effects, and follow-up care.

· Accurately document patient assessments, treatments, and responses in the electronic medical record.

· Collaborate with physicians, pharmacists, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care.

· Adhere to infection prevention, medication safety, and regulatory standards.

· Respond appropriately to infusion-related emergencies and adverse reactions.

Qualifications:

· Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the applicable state.

· Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association (AHA).

· Minimum of three years of recent infusion nursing experience.

· Oncology Nursing Society (ONS) Chemotherapy/Biotherapy Provider certification required.

Work Schedule:

Weekday schedule (Monday through Friday) in an outpatient infusion setting. Travel assignments may be available based on organizational needs.
