The Role The VP of Operations owns the company-wide operating system that turns strategy intocoordinated execution. You will connect priorities, investments, resources, and performance acrossProduct, Engineering, Go-to-Market, Finance, and People so the company moves with speed andcohesion as it scales.This is a hands-on builder role for a highly organized operator who can see around corners, connectdots across functions, and bring clarity to a fast-moving environment. You will partner closely withthe CEO and leadership team to determine what matters most, keep decisions and commitmentsmoving, and ensure teams stay aligned from product investment through commercial executionwhile developing consistency across the company for effective and efficient operations. What You’ll Do Company operating rhythm and strategic alignment Run the rhythm of the business, including leadership meetings, company planning, businessreviews, and two to three company offsites each year. Translate strategy into a clear portfolio ofpriorities, decisions, owners, and milestones; track actions through closure. Connect dependenciesacross functions, surface conflicts early, and help leaders make explicit trade-offs about where thecompany invests time, talent, and capital. Portfolio prioritization, investment, and resourcing Build and run a disciplined intake and prioritization process for company-level and cross-functionalinitiatives. In partnership with Finance, define business cases, funding decisions, performance gates,and stop or-scale criteria for key investments. Partner with People/HR on organization design,headcount, contractor, and capability planning aligned to strategy. Maintain a clear view of demand,capacity, cost, and trade-offs so leadership can allocate resources to the highest-impact work. Systems, tools, and scalable infrastructure Assess the tools, data, processes, and operating infrastructure required to scale each function andthe company as a whole. Establish clear ownership and standards, improve adoption and dataquality, automate recurring work, and retire redundant or low-value tools and processes. Leadchange with practical communication and enough flexibility to meet teams where they are. OKRs, performance, and cross-functional execution Own the company OKR process and maintain credible scorecards and dashboards, includingdefinitions, owners, data hygiene, and review cadence. Keep an initiative-level view of priorities,dependencies, risks, decisions, and expected outcomes. Use operational and financial data toidentify patterns, challenge assumptions, and recommend action—not simply report status. Step into drive critical cross-functional programs when focused ownership is needed. What You’ll Bring A highly organized, detail-oriented operating style: you create structure, follow throughrelentlessly, and can move between company-level context and execution details without losingeither. Exceptional ability to connect dots across functions, anticipate downstream implications, andpreserve cohesion as priorities shift. Strong prioritization and judgment. You distinguish urgent from important, frame trade-offsclearly, and help teams focus on the few outcomes that matter most. Analytical fluency: you can read operating and financial data, find the signal, and turn it into adecision or recommendation. Clear executive communication: you can compress ambiguity into a concise recommendation,facilitate a decision, and document what happens next. Low-ego influence and the confidence to hold senior peers accountable without formalauthority. A self-starting, flexible, high-energy approach; comfort shifting between building systems,facilitating leaders, and solving an urgent execution problem. Sound judgment with sensitiveand confidential information. Qualifications 10+ years in business operations, strategy and operations, or a chief of staff role, including directpartnership with executives at a high-growth technology company. A track record of building company operating cadence, planning, OKRs, and cross-functionalexecution systems—not only running a system someone else built. Fluency in the operating mechanics of a technology business, including budgeting, forecasting,headcount planning, resource allocation, and performance metrics. Experience evaluating and improving business systems and tools across functions; familiaritywith CRM, BI, planning, and collaboration platforms. Demonstrated cross-functional delivery across Product, Engineering, Go-to-Market, Finance,and People/HR, including demand and capacity management across competing priorities. Experience owning an operating budget and vendor portfolio. Bachelor’s degree or equivalentpractical experience; MBA is a plus, not required. Experience in a venture-backed startup is strongly preferred; familiarity with security, identity, orSaaS is a plus. What We Value Intellectual horsepower.
