Job Details: Job Location: Dallas, TX 75212, Position Type: Full Time, Candidates must have a minimum of a bachelor's level education in psychology, counseling, sociology, social work, or related field. Our Assertive Community Treatment (ACT) Team is in search of a dedicated Qualified Mental Health Professional (QMHP) to become part of our team! This is a full-time position within an existing team aimed at providing effective, community-centered mental health services within a multidisciplinary framework. A Note About Shift Availability: Shifts will range from early morning, mid morning, and mid day. This includes an on call after hours rotation and flexing hours as necessary. Additionally, since we will be operating 7 days a week, this will include working some holidays. Your desired shift can be discussed upon interview. What You’ll Do: Provide direct mental health services in various community settings Support clients through intensive case management & treatment planning Deliver crisis intervention (including on-call rotation) Offer skills training, psychosocial rehabilitation, medication education and assist participants with medication management Assist with community integration Provide participant transportation Maintain accurate and timely documentation Complete intakes including consent, ANSA, and recovery plan Teach individuals how to advocate for themselves in multiple environments Enjoy a team approach where you will have another staff member with you when going to most places in the community, including clients' homes and other unfamiliar locations. Qualifications: Knowledge & Skills: Strong understanding of mental health diagnoses & treatment Familiarity with recovery-oriented, trauma-informed, and person-centered care Be willing to learn about different facets of harm reduction and its foundational principles Ability to build rapport and engage clients from diverse backgrounds Use of motivational interviewing, strengths-based approaches, and de- escalation techniques Clear, professional verbal and written communication Active listening and nonjudgmental, empathetic responses Organizational skills and proficient in technology Develop a strong understanding of clinical documentation and electronic health records and systems such as Netsmart, CMBHS, and Pigeon Be willing to learn the names and uses for common physical and mental health medications Stay up to date on all in person and online trainings Personal Qualities: Empathetic, patient, flexible, and adaptable Strong problem-solving and advocacy skills Ethical, professional, and committed to learning and growth Works well with a shared caseload and team approach A strong understanding that you are the face of HBI in the community and the responsibility that comes with it Ability to be a team player and meaningfully contribute to an interdisciplinary team that includes medical staff, peer specialists, and therapists Be teachable and able to accept constructive feedback Cultivate a culture of honesty and integrity with both staff and participant Have a desire to develop leadership skills and be willing to take initiative Advocate for yourself as well as offer feedback to the team and supervisors Be able to drive company vehicle which will include maintaining a current Texas drivers license, Texas liability insurance, and driver trainings #J-18808-Ljbffr Homeward Bound
