Job Details

Position: RN - ICU
Location: Alexandria
Contract Length: 13 Weeks
Shift: Night Shift
Schedule: 3x12
Experience Required: 2 Years
Weekly Pay: $1630 to $1830

Responsibilities

Provide direct nursing care to critically ill and high-acuity patients in the ICU
Perform comprehensive patient assessments and continuously monitor patient conditions
Administer medications, IV therapies, blood products, and critical care treatments
Operate and monitor ventilators, cardiac monitors, infusion pumps, and other specialized equipment
Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary healthcare teams to develop and implement patient care plans
Respond rapidly to emergencies and changes in patient condition
Educate patients and families regarding treatment plans and recovery processes
Maintain accurate and timely patient documentation
Ensure compliance with patient safety, infection prevention, and quality care standards

Requirements

Active RN License in Louisiana
Minimum 2 years of recent ICU or Critical Care nursing experience
Current BLS Certification required
ACLS Certification required
NIHSS certification preferred
Experience with ventilators, hemodynamic monitoring, and vasoactive drips preferred
Strong critical thinking, assessment, and clinical decision-making skills
Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced critical care environment
