Radiation Therapist

Job Summary The Radiation Therapist administers ionizing radiation for therapeutic purposes following physician prescriptions. Responsibilities include: interpreting and implementing treatment plans, performing simulations, preparing immobilization devices, obtaining measurements, and conducting quality assurance on equipment. Assists in clinical training, communicates effectively with patients and team members, provides basic patient care during treatments, and monitors patient progress. Manages scheduling and treatment documentation, ensuring timely and professional care delivery. Qualifications: Radiology Tech License, ARRT Radiation Therapy certification, and BLS certification are required. A bachelor's degree in Radiation Therapy is preferred. Skills: clinical processes, patient care, communication, decision-making, empathy, problem-solving, collaboration, and flexibility. Physical Demands: requires visual acuity, manual dexterity, patient handling, mobility, and the ability to operate equipment and navigate busy clinical environments. #J-18808-Ljbffr
