Radiologist Assistant 1503724 * Hourly pay: $65/hr * Worksite: Leading university (Stanford, CA 94305 - Onsite) * W2 Employment, Group Medical, Dental, Vision, Life, Retirement Savings Program, PSL * 40 hours/week, 3 Month Assignment, Possible extension/conversion A leading university is seeking a Radiologist Assistant to work under a limited degree of supervision of a radiologist or physician to provide diagnostic information that assists in diagnoses and therapies. Enhance patient care and research goals by assisting the radiologist in the diagnostic imaging environment. Radiologist Assistant Responsibilities: * Provide support for the design, development, implementation, and execution of research studies. * Work closely with the physician on complex medical imaging procedures, 3D reformations, and post-processing procedures. * Participate in the design, development, implementation, and execution of multiple research studies involving medical imaging systems; use product, research software, and hardware, and/or computer systems to generate clinical images and data to assist in diagnoses and therapies. * Operate medical imaging systems to obtain images for use in the research of pathologies and development of clinical imaging procedures; operate computer systems to generate images for use in clinical diagnoses and therapies, and in the development of research projects. * Develop and test new products involving medical imaging and/or 3D reformations and post-processing. * Post-process volumetric digital image data on 3D workstations; produce and track quantitative measurements; ensure the post-processed images are of maximal clinical value. Radiologist Assistant Qualifications: * 3-5 years of relevant experience. * 2-year degree. * NMT-RHN, California Nuclear Medicine Technologist License. * Must hold one of the following certifications: American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT), California Registry of Radiologic Technologists, American Registry of Magnetic Resonance Imaging Technologist (ARMRIT). * Advanced ARRT registry (e.g., CT, MR, etc.) is preferred. * PET Technologist. * BLS - Basic Life Support certification is preferred. * Advanced experience in teaching and instruction of technologists, researchers, and/or physicians. * Experience in MR system operation and troubleshooting system and computer issues. * Advanced knowledge in cross-sectional anatomy and physiology, sterile technique, patient relations, medical imaging examination preparation, and medical imaging safety and screening procedures. * Advanced knowledge and skills in the operation of medical imaging systems, 3D reformations, and post-processing procedures. * Advanced working knowledge of medical imaging physics, principles, tissue contrast, and applications. * Advanced knowledge with Unix, Windows, Mac, and/or Linux computer operating systems. * Ability to identify images for post-processing and/or artifacts in the images; ability to respond to detailed requests for views and/or images depicting certain anatomy and/or pathology. * No heart implants. * Good fitness/aerobic capacity and visual/auditory acuity, including color vision. * Occasionally lift/carry/push/pull patients or equipment that weigh 11 to >40 pounds. Shift: * Monday to Friday, 8:00 am to 5:00 pm, Standard office hours. (H)
