Electro Mechanical Technician

Level B: Electrical-Mechanical TechnicianThe Electrical-Mechanical Technician is a skilled role for individuals with experience in Industrial maintenance. Level B Technicians independently repair, maintain, and install production and manufacturing equipment. This position requires a deeper understanding of mechanical and electrical systems, with increased responsibility and minimal supervision.Key Responsibilities:Ensure compliance with all Stratas GMP standards.Independently repair and install production and manufacturing equipment.Inspect equipment to ensure optimal performance and identify potential issues.Perform preventative maintenance tasks with minimal supervision.Diagnose and troubleshoot complex equipment malfunctions.Use advanced hand tools and electrical/mechanical tools proficiently.Maintain and promote a clean and safe work environment.Strictly adhere to safety protocols and procedures.Mentor junior technicians and apprentices, providing guidance and training.Proficient knowledge in pneumatics, hydraulics, bearings, power transmissions, and lubrication.High school diploma or GED; additional technical training or certifications preferred.Strong understanding of mechanical and electrical principles.Capability to follow detailed instructions and work effectively as part of a team, providing support to production as needed.Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.Physical ability to perform manual labor and lift heavy objects.Strong commitment to safety and attention to detail.Valuable Experience:Proficiency in reading and interpreting electrical drawingsProficiency in reading and interpreting hydraulic and pneumatic drawingsHands-on experience with PLC/automation systemsSolid background in manufacturing and food processing industries, with experience in optimizing production processes and ensuring equipment reliability.Experience in writing and executing comprehensive preventative maintenance tasks,Experience with continuous improvement methodologies, such as Lean or Six Sigma, to enhance equipment performance and reduce downtime.Proficient in using computer-based maintenance management systems (CMMS) for tracking maintenance activities and generating reports.Strong leadership skills with the ability to train and develop junior technicians, fostering a collaborative and efficient team environment.Physical: Ability to sit/stand/walk for long periods of time while performing job duties.
