The successful candidate will provide crucial support during the design and construction phases of various projects.Position ResponsibilitiesProvide project management support during the design phase by overseeing design consultants performing station condition surveys.Ensure all work complies with contract documents and complete all required contract documentation.Support inspections and quality control/quality assurance activities for the furnishing and installation of materials and equipment through project closeout.Assist in inspecting communications construction projects while monitoring and coordinating multiple project activities under general supervision.Collaborate with the Resident Engineer to achieve project goals and support the Project Management Consultant (PMC) and Consultant Construction Management (CCM) teams by attending project coordination meetings, preparing meeting minutes, and following up on action items.Monitor job site safety to ensure compliance with all contract safety requirements by Client personnel, contractors, and subcontractors.Prepare daily reports, quality and safety checklists, field condition survey reports, field sketches, scopes of work for change orders, cost estimates, additional work order packages, and other reports as required by the Senior Director of Project Management.Prepare, submit, and coordinate requests for Client services, including flagging, access, protection, and other required support services.Assist with project budgets, schedules, and construction activities.Report directly to the Senior Director of Project Management.QualificationsBachelor's degree from an accredited college in Engineering or Business; or an Associate's degree in Engineering.Minimum of four years of full-time experience in project management work, including planning, administering, managing, coordinating, or expediting engineering projects, or supervising a construction project valued at $20 million or more.At least one year of supervisory experience or experience serving as a Project Manager on large and/or complex construction projects.30-hour OSHA Certification and 8-hour Lead Awareness Course are required.Must successfully complete the one-day Client Track Safety Training prior to participating in Capital Program projects.Preferred Skills and QualificationsAbility to read and interpret contract drawings and specifications.Knowledge of applicable codes and standards is preferred.Demonstrated project management experience.Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Access, and Excel.Experience with Computer-Aided Design and Drafting (CADD) is desirable but not required.Excellent written and verbal communication skills.Ability to organize project information, prepare reports and presentations, and effectively communicate with contractors and other Client departments.Knowledge of, or experience with, capital construction procedures and field operations.Knowledge of, or experience with, construction scheduling and estimating.Knowledge of, or experience with, Client operations and mass transit facilities is preferred.Ability to coordinate with a variety of stakeholders, including operations and engineering personnel.Work ScheduleHours: 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM (8-hour workday with a 30-minute unpaid lunch).50% technical and 50% administrative responsibilities.80% field and 20% office work.Right-of-way access is required.Benefits PEAK's benefit offerings available for our associates include medical, dental, vision, Flexible Spending Account (FSA), Dependent Care Savings Account (DCA), and 401K plan.
