Lab Technician

job summary:
Every dose leaving this facility depends on the analytical precision of the quality control lab. As a Lab Technician in Social Circle, GA, you will perform critical biological, chemical, and physical testing across all stages of production-utilizing advanced instruments like HPLC, GC, and ICP-MS to safeguard product integrity in a high-throughput cGMP facility.

responsibilities:

  • Perform biological, chemical, and physical assays on in-process and final pharmaceutical products to support production schedules.
  • Operate, maintain, and troubleshoot lab equipment and instrumentation, including GC, HPLC, and ICP-MS.
  • Document test results accurately in LIMS and computerized systems following GDP, cGMP, GLP, and FDA guidelines.
  • Investigate testing deviations, draft exception documents, and support special project protocols.
  • Maintain lab cleanliness, manage consumable inventory, clean glasswashers, and perform routine maintenance on temperature-controlled units.
  • Receive, log, and process samples, and assist with stability study pulls and archiving.
 
qualifications:
Required:

  • Proficiency in both manual methods and instrumentation analyses.
  • Experience performing and analyzing analytical assays.
  • Proficient in wet and instrumental methods of analyses.
  • Knowledge of most laboratory equipment including but not limited to GC, HPLC, ICPMS and other analytical instruments
  • Basic knowledge of statistical methods and strong technical problem solving skills.
  • Knowledge of basic chemical and biological safety procedures
Preferred:

  • Proficient use of TrackWise, Empower, and MiniTab software a plus.
