UCT is looking for a talented Sr GL Accountant to join us in Hillsboro, OR!The Senior Accountant is responsible for overseeing key aspects of the monthly close process, including review of accounting activities, consolidation reporting, and intercompany accounting. This role serves as a critical accounting liaison between the Company and its parent organization, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting in accordance with corporate requirements. The position operates with a high degree of independence and provides functional oversight of accounting processes without direct supervisory responsibility.Key ResponsibilitiesMonth-End Close & Financial ReportingOversee the monthly close process to ensure completeness, accuracy, and timelinessReview journal entries, account reconciliations, and supporting schedules prepared by accounting staffEnsure compliance with SOX controls and internal accounting policiesReview trial balances and validate mapping from ERP accounts to parent company reporting structure (SAP)Consolidation & Intercompany AccountingPerform intercompany accounting, including eliminations and reconciliationsPrepare and submit consolidation reporting packages to parent companyMaintain and update consolidation workbooks and supporting documentationCollaborate with parent company accounting team to resolve reporting issues and discrepanciesCash & Subsidiary SupportReview international payroll summaries and process payroll payments via banking platformsReview & Approve direct payments (e.g., wire transfers) for subsidiary operationsEnsure proper documentation and controls around cash disbursementsCross-Functional SupportCross-train with cost accounting and financial analysis functions to provide operational resilienceSupport ad hoc financial analysis as neededProcess Improvement & ControlsIdentify opportunities to improve close efficiency and reporting accuracySupport audit requests and maintain strong documentation practicesOther DutiesPlease note this job description is not designed to cover or contain a comprehensive listing of activities, duties or responsibilities that are required of the employee for this job.
