Served Media is the home of Served with Andy Roddick, Q&Andy, Love All and Served Five Setter. We produce four weekly shows with more coming, reach hundreds of thousands of tennis fans across Instagram, YouTube, TikTok and X, publish a growing newsletter, and run one of the largest Grand Slam bracket challenges in the sport. We are a small team working together in one building in Charlotte.

About the Role

The Head of Social & Community owns how Served Media looks and sounds across every platform outside the show itself. This role sets the visual identity, brand voice and content strategy for social and community, builds and runs owned content formats, and leads a team of three. This role controls the first touchpoint for most of our new audience.

This is a creative leadership position with hands-on responsibility. The Head of Social & Community sets direction and is present in the room for every show record.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain Served Media's visual identity across all platforms, including graphics system, motion package, templates and thumbnails
• Define brand voice standards for captions, replies, pins and community posts
• Create and manage 3 to 5 owned content formats that publish weekly independent of show production
• Plan and manage the content calendar across Instagram, YouTube, TikTok, X and newsletter, informed by performance data
• Attend all show records and direct social content selection
• Lead community engagement including launch-day conversation, polls, newsletter creative and the Bracket Challenge
• Conduct monthly catalog optimization of titles and thumbnails across 300+ episodes and a 250K-subscriber YouTube channel
• Author the Audience section of the weekly company report, including performance analysis, core vs. wide audience insights and recommendations
• Lead, develop and manage a team of three: Social Producer/Editor, Social Media Coordinator, and Community & Newsletter Coordinator
• Partner with Production on show-to-social workflow and with Revenue on sponsor integrations

Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience in sports or new media with an editorial focus
• 2+ years leading a team
• Portfolio of work required
• Experience managing social for a sports media company, team, league, creator-led network or comparable brand with a distinctive visual identity
• Experience working alongside on-camera talent and translating a personality into a brand voice
• Demonstrated ability to interpret performance data and adjust strategy
• Strong knowledge of tennis or demonstrated ability to learn a sport quickly
• Direct communicator comfortable in a fast-paced environment

Working Conditions

On site in Charlotte, Monday through Friday. Weekend coverage required during Grand Slams and tentpole events;
standard weekend monitoring otherwise.

Reports To: Senior Producer and Executive Producer

Compensation: $95,000 to $110,000 annually, plus benefits
