Job Title: RN - OR Profession: RN Specialty: Operating Room Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Varied Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: 2+ years in an acute care setting License: Active RN License (TX) Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIH Must-Have: Must have strong neuro experience OR experience in a hospital setting Neurosurgery experience Description: Seeking an experienced RN for the Operating Room with strong neuro expertise. The position involves performing a high volume of general and neuro surgeries, including cranial and orthopedic procedures. Experience with robotic surgeries is preferred. The unit operates with 17 beds, including CVOR and transplant surgeries. OR nursing ratios are 1:1 during surgical procedures. Staffing includes 1-2 surgical techs per case. Documentation is done using the Meditech system. Candidates must demonstrate friendly and compassionate patient care. Dress code includes provided scrubs and a clean, professional appearance. Body art should be covered whenever possible, and visible piercings other than ears are not permitted. Attendance and floating policies are outlined in unit guidelines.
