Our Grant location is hiring for a day shift, full-time medical assistant to work in our pulmonary outpatient care site. The hours for this role is 8:00am -4:30pm, Monday through Friday. Minimum Qualifications: High School or GED (Required) BLS - Basic Life Support - American Heart Association This position will support a Sleep Medicine provider within our specialty pulmonary clinic. The Medical Assistant plays a key role in coordinating patient care and ensuring timely access to necessary treatments and equipment. Key Responsibilities: Contact patients to coordinate and arrange medical equipment setup (e.g., CPAP and other sleep-related devices) Collaborate with insurance companies to obtain prior authorizations for equipment, supplies, and medications Facilitate communication between patients, providers, and durable medical equipment (DME) vendors Track and follow up on orders to ensure timely completion and patient access to care Maintain accurate and organized documentation within the medical record Qualifications: Strong organizational skills and attention to detail Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced clinical environment Excellent communication and customer service skills Experience working with insurance authorizations and/or DME coordination preferred Sleep medicine experience preferred, but not required Work Shift: Day Scheduled Weekly Hours : 40 Department Pulmonary Grant Join us!... if your passion is to work in a caring environment... if you believe that learning is a life-long process... if you strive for excellence and want to be among the best in the healthcare industry Equal Employment Opportunity OhioHealth is an equal opportunity employer and fully supports and maintains compliance with all state, federal, and local regulations.
