Overview
Respiratory Therapist (Registered Respiratory Therapist) sought for a travel assignment in Sonora, California. Start date: 07/13/2026. Duration: 13 weeks. Weekly pay: $1,429-$1,500 per week. Responsibilities
- Perform initial and ongoing patient respiratory assessments; document findings and respond to changes in status
- Deliver and monitor inhalation therapies, oxygen, aerosolized medications, and chest therapies per physician orders
- Manage ventilator support, including setup, adjustments, and weaning protocols under supervision and hospital protocols
- Conduct arterial blood gas collection and interpretation; adjust treatment plans in collaboration with the medical team
- Monitor patient response to therapies, document progress, and communicate changes to physicians and nursing staff
- Ensure equipment safety, proper maintenance, infection control practices, and adherence to standard procedures

Requirements
- Active Respiratory Therapist credential with RRT designation and minimum 2 years of hospital-based experience
- Availability for 3x12-hour night shifts and the ability to work in a fast-paced acute care environment
- Demonstrated competency in ventilator management, airway care, and monitoring of critically ill patients
- Effective team communication skills and ability to document clearly in the charting system
- Current ability to work in the United States and meet any site-specific onboarding requirements
