Program Manager (Mgr Programs 3)

Program Manager, Eglin AFB (All‑Domain Operations, Mission Technologies). This role supports the Air Force Research Lab (AFRL) Munitions Directorate, assisting in developing and executing strategies for next‑generation munitions technology. The position is based at the Ordnance Science Innovation Center (OSIC) in Eglin AFB, Florida. Job Description Key responsibilities include partnering with the Principal Scientist, leading cost, schedule, performance, and risk management activities, developing realistic schedules and ensuring deadlines are met, providing revenue and burn forecasts, acting as primary customer contact, driving new business or service expansion, managing P&L of a complex program, maintaining internal documentation, updating executive leadership, reporting monthly, ensuring knowledge management, correcting work products, staffing coordination, and pursuing process improvements. Responsibilities Partner with the Principal Scientist, lead cost, schedule, performance, and risk management activities. Develop realistic schedules for all deliverables, ensuring deadlines are met in coordination with program office government leadership. Provide up‑to‑date revenue and burn forecasts to customers on a routine basis. Act as primary customer contact, leading program review sessions to discuss cost, schedule, and technical performance. Develop new business or expand services with the customer. Be responsible for the profit and loss of a large complex program. Maintain and update required internal program documentation. Provide executive leadership with quarterly program status updates. Complete required monthly status reports on program activity. Ensure implementation of a knowledge management site to track all deliverables and maintain all program documents via DTIC. Respond promptly to sub‑standard work products and correct them. Coordinate staffing of deliverables with internal HII and external government teams. Pursue process improvements and efficiencies, implementing them with government leadership approval. Minimum Qualifications 8 years relevant progressive experience with a Bachelor’s in a related field; 6 years relevant progressive experience with a Master’s; or High School Diploma or equivalent with 12 years relevant progressive experience. Advanced experience in: Convening/leading acquisition Integrated Product Teams (IPTs) Managing a matrix workforce and leading in team environments Managing complex technical procurements and interdependencies Preparing and delivering effective PowerPoint briefings to large groups Strong leadership and management skills Understanding of Project Lead‑tasks and expectations Convening and leading customer meetings internally and jointly Understanding of programmatic issues, risks, concerns, and presenting corrective actions Skilled communicator Must possess a PMP or be able to obtain one within six months of hire. Must possess and maintain a SECRET clearance, with the ability to obtain TS/SCI. Preferred Requirements Experience related to AFRL Munitions and AFLCMC/EB.
