About the Position

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Labor and Delivery Duration: 26 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 2 years of experience required License: Compact license required Certifications: BLS, FHM, NRP, AWHONN Intermediate, ACLS (preferred) Must-Have: Epic experience required Previous charge experience preferred Travel experience required Description: The role involves providing care in a labor and delivery unit. You will assist with high-risk deliveries and general labor management. You will be responsible for administering medications and intravenous fluids. You will monitor fetal heart rates and maternal vital signs. You will chart and document patient information in the electronic health record system. You will work with interdisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes. You will provide pre-op and post-op care for obstetrical surgeries. You will perform sterile vaginal exams and assist with C-sections. You will be expected to float to postpartum and NICU based on skill set. You will participate in patient education regarding labor, delivery, and postpartum care. You will be attending all deliveries and ensuring couplet care where applicable. You will manage various types of special equipment and procedures related to labor and delivery. You may be required to float between facilities as needed.
