Facility Type: 16-bed Small-Format Hospital (8 Emergency Room, 8 Inpatient)

Position Overview

The primary objective of this role is to conduct a range of imaging procedures, such as CT scans and X-rays, at a technical level that does not require constant oversight.

Essential Job Functions

• Assist physicians, nurses, and other staff by providing technical support and patient care tailored to individual needs.
• Operate and maintain all imaging equipment, including X-Ray, CT, CR reader, and PACS.
• Conduct imaging exams in line with established policies, procedures, regulations, and laws, ensuring timely communication of results to the attending physician.
• Perform basic clinical tasks under the supervision of the physician or nurse on duty.
• Keep accurate documentation, logs, charts, and records in both paper and electronic formats.
• Collect laboratory samples and conduct testing in compliance with established policies and relevant regulations.
• Ensure an adequate supply of reagents and consumables for quality testing.
• Carry out routine maintenance and function checks on imaging equipment as per established protocols.
• Conduct Quality Control as mandated by the laboratory.
• Participate in Proficiency Testing and/or Split Sample analysis as required.
• Maintain records of all analytical activities for a minimum of two years.
• Document all Quality Assessment activities for periodic review by the Laboratory Supervisor and/or Laboratory Director.

Other Job Functions

• Serve as an ER Technician when necessary.
• Ensure sufficient supplies of reagents and consumables for quality testing.
• Perform routine maintenance and function checks on imaging equipment as per established protocols.
• Travel to various facility locations as needed.
• Attend staff meetings and other company-sponsored or required gatherings.
• Take on additional responsibilities as assigned.

Basic Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED is required.
• Graduation from an AMA-approved Radiology Technology program is required.
• Associate’s Degree in Radiology is preferred.
• Certification as a medical radiologic technologist as mandated by the state of practice is required.
• CT Certification is preferred.
• CT certification must be obtained within 12 months of hire (specific to Pennsylvania market).
• Registered Technologist with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) in radiography is required.
• Registered Technologist with the ARRT in computed tomography is preferred.
• Current BLS certification from the American Heart Association is required.
• Preferred experience includes 2+ years in radiologic/imaging roles.
• Preferred experience includes 1+ years in CT.
• Preferred experience includes 1+ years in an emergency room setting.
• Proficiency with various X-ray/CT equipment, including manufacturer’s hardware/software and PACS.
• Fluency in English, with strong written and verbal communication skills, is required.
