Role Description The Information Technology Field Technician is a contract, on‑site role located in the United States, responsible for delivering hardware and basic software support at customer locations. Day‑to‑day tasks include diagnosing and repairing computer, server, POS, and kiosk hardware, performing installations, upgrades, and de‑installations, and replacing or configuring components according to service tickets and vendor guidelines. The technician will coordinate with dispatch and help desk teams, follow documented procedures, maintain accurate service records, and ensure timely closure of work orders within Barrister’s web‑based system. The role also involves interacting with end users in a professional manner, verifying successful operation after repairs, and adhering to safety and data security standards while working independently in varied environments. Qualifications Demonstrated skills in onsite hardware support and break/fix services, including troubleshooting, repair, and replacement of components for desktops, laptops, servers, POS systems, and peripherals. Experience with installation, de‑installation, and configuration of IT equipment, cabling, network‑connected devices, and kiosk or retail technologies. Ability to follow technical documentation, service manuals, and standardized procedures, with strong problem‑solving and diagnostic skills for multi‑vendor environments. Competence in using ticketing or dispatch systems, maintaining accurate service notes, and communicating clearly with support teams and customers. Strong customer service skills, including professional on‑site demeanor, clear verbal and written communication, and reliability in meeting scheduled appointments. Valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, and willingness to travel locally to various customer sites within assigned territory. Relevant technical certifications (e.g., CompTIA A+, Network+, vendor‑specific hardware certifications) or equivalent field experience supporting IT hardware. #J-18808-Ljbffr
