Cloud Architect - Remote / Telecommute

Job Title Pay Range: $70hr - $75hr Requirement/Must Have Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field. 10+ years of experience in IT infrastructure, software engineering, or cloud architecture. 5+ years of hands-on experience designing and implementing cloud solutions. Strong expertise in cloud platforms such as AWS, Microsoft Azure, and/or Google Cloud Platform (GCP). Deep understanding of cloud architecture patterns, networking, security, identity and access management, and disaster recovery. Experience with cloud migration, application modernization, and microservices architecture. Strong knowledge of Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform, CloudFormation, Client Templates, or Bicep. Experience with containerization and orchestration technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes. Familiarity with DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, and automation frameworks. Excellent problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder management skills. Responsibilities Design and implement scalable, secure, highly available, and resilient cloud architectures. Define cloud architecture standards, best practices, and governance frameworks. Partner with business stakeholders, product teams, and engineering teams to develop cloud strategies and technology roadmaps. Lead architectural design reviews and provide technical guidance throughout the project lifecycle. Develop cloud-native, hybrid-cloud, and multi-cloud solutions based on organizational requirements. Evaluate existing infrastructure and applications to recommend modernization and migration approaches. Collaborate with security teams to ensure cloud solutions meet compliance, regulatory, and security requirements. Provide technical leadership and mentorship to development, DevOps, and infrastructure teams. Drive adoption of automation, Infrastructure as Code (IaC), CI/CD, and cloud-native practices. Review and optimize cloud environments for performance, scalability, reliability, and cost efficiency. Identify architecture risks, dependencies, and technical challenges and provide mitigation strategies. Support cloud transformation initiatives and ensure alignment with enterprise architecture principles. Nice to Have Cloud certifications such as: AWS Certified Solutions Architect Professional, Microsoft Azure Solutions Architect Expert, Google Professional Cloud Architect. Experience with serverless architectures and cloud-native application development. Knowledge of FinOps, cloud cost optimization, and operational excellence. Experience in enterprise-scale cloud transformation programs. Exposure to Healthcare, Insurance, Financial Services, or other regulated industries. Skills Cloud Architecture & Design.
