Surgery - General Physician Assistant

Advanced Practice Provider (NP/PA) - Plastic Surgery & Aesthetics Location: Fergus Falls, MN •Work closely with a board-certified Plastic and Reconstructive Surgeon and experienced APP team in a collaborative practice environment.•Role focuses on outpatient clinic management, aesthetic and reconstructive care, minor procedures, and pre- and post-operative patient care.•Provide high-quality care in cosmetic, reconstructive, and aesthetic services within a supportive rural healthcare setting.Key Responsibilities•Conduct comprehensive patient evaluations, including medical history, physical examinations, and assessment of plastic surgery and aesthetic concerns.•Diagnose and manage dermatologic and plastic surgery-related conditions, including skin care, wound care, and post-surgical follow-up.•Perform or assist with in-office procedures, including:oBotox and dermal filler injectionsoLaser treatmentsoMinor excisions and biopsiesoSuture removaloWound care and other aesthetic or reconstructive interventions•Serve as first assist in the operating room for select surgical procedures (based on credentialing and qualifications).•Develop and implement individualized treatment plans in collaboration with supervising physicians.•Provide patient education on skincare, treatment plans, surgical expectations, and post-procedure care.•Manage pre-operative and post-operative care, including ordering labs or imaging, prescribing medications, and coordinating referrals.•Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the electronic health record.•Participate in quality improvement initiatives, team meetings, and continuing education.•Promote a positive patient experience in a collaborative, multidisciplinary environment.Qualifications•Master's degree from an accredited Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant program.•Current Minnesota licensure as an NP (with prescriptive authority) or PA, or eligibility to obtain.•Certification by ANCC or AANP (NP) or NCCPA (PA) required.•BLS certification required; ACLS preferred.•Experience in plastic surgery or dermatology settings preferred.•Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a patient-centered approach.•Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team.•Commitment to rural healthcare and serving diverse patient populations.EMR System•EPICCompensation & Benefits•Competitive compensation package with a generous sign-on bonus (details available upon application).•Relocation assistance available.•Annual CME reimbursement allowance and paid professional dues and memberships.•401(k) eligibility after 6 months with generous employer contribution.•Comprehensive benefits package including health, dental, short-term and long-term disability insurance.•Professional liability insurance coverage provided.•6 weeks of paid time off annually for full-time employment.About Fergus Falls, Minnesota•Fergus Falls offers a safe, welcoming community of approximately 14,000 residents with a low cost of living and low crime rate.•The area is known for excellent public and private schools, a community college, and strong local amenities including wineries, breweries, shopping centers, restaurants, and entertainment venues.•Outdoor recreation is abundant, with activities such as fishing, kayaking, hiking, biking, cross-country skiing, and golfing.•The region is located in Otter Tail County, home to more than 1,100 lakes, the highest concentration of lakes in the United States.•Community highlights include 5 lakes and 19 parks within city limits, a children's museum and indoor playground, a new splash pad (2024), and a community aquatics center opened in 2025.•Nearby natural attractions include Glendalough and Maplewood State Parks, both within 20 miles and offering scenic trails and outdoor adventures.•8 golf courses within a 30-mile radius and a 55-mile paved Central Lakes Trail beginning in Fergus Falls.•Convenient access to larger cities:oFargo, North Dakota - approximately 1 hour away (international airport access)oMinneapolis-Saint Paul - approximately 2.5 hours away (international airport access).
