Registered Nurse PICU

$2692.80/week -

Job Summary:

Provide specialized pediatric critical care nursing to critically ill infants, children, and adolescents within the PICU and related units. Deliver high-quality patient care while managing complex medical needs and adhering to hospital protocols.

Responsibilities:

• 
  Administer and monitor ventilator management, CVVH, and vaccine administration for pediatric patients.
  
  
• 
  Interpret and manage cardiac dysrhythmias, ensuring optimal patient outcomes.
  
  
• 
  Document patient care activities accurately in EPIC and ensure compliance with charting standards.
  
  
• 
  Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including intensivists, surgeons, and respiratory therapists.
  
  
• 
  Float safely across PICU, NICU, Peds, stepdown, intermediate care, and pediatric hematology/oncology units based on skillset.
  
  
• 
  Support unit staffing by working scheduled shifts and on-call coverage during winter holidays.
  
  

Qualifications:

• 
  Hold active NJ or Compact registered nursing license at the time of application.
  
  
• 
  Possess minimum of 2.5 years of acute care experience, including pediatric critical care.
  
  
• 
  Demonstrate proficiency in ventilator management, cardiac rhythm interpretation, and EPIC charting.
  
  
• 
  Maintain current ACLS, BLS, and PALS certifications; NIHSS preferred.
  
  
• 
  Capable of floating between multiple pediatric units without exception.
  
  
• 
  Willing to work during winter holidays and every other weekend.
