Job Title: Construction Project Manager Job Description

We are seeking a Project Manager to join a growing plumbing contractor that partners with some of the region's largest General Contractors on high-profile commercial and industrial construction projects. This company performs work on manufacturing facilities, industrial warehouses, gas stations, and data centers throughout the St. Louis area. This position is ideal for someone with strong project management experience who enjoys leading projects from start to finish, coordinating multiple stakeholders, and proactively driving successful project outcomes. Previous plumbing experience is not required. The company is willing to train the plumbing-specific aspects of the role for candidates who possess strong project management fundamentals, organizational skills, and communication abilities.

Responsibilities

• Manage the full lifecycle of construction projects from project kickoff through closeout.
• Coordinate schedules, manpower requirements, material deliveries, subcontractors, and project milestones.
• Serve as the primary point of contact between customers, general contractors, field personnel, vendors, and internal stakeholders.
• Communicate project status updates and potential issues proactively.
• Monitor project budgets, schedules, and production goals to ensure projects remain on track.
• Review project drawings, specifications, and contract documents.
• Track project changes, RFIs, submittals, and other project documentation.
• Work closely with field leadership to ensure labor needs are identified and communicated in advance.
• Attend project meetings with customers, contractors, and internal teams.
• Identify risks and develop solutions before they impact project schedules or profitability.
• Assist with estimating and bidding activities as experience grows within the organization.
• Maintain accurate project records using company software, tablets, and computer systems.

Essential Skills

• Experience in a Project Manager, Assistant Project Manager, Project Engineer, Construction Coordinator, or similar role.
• Construction industry experience preferred.
• Strong knowledge of project scheduling, budgeting, planning, and coordination.
• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
• Strong computer skills and comfort learning new technology platforms.
• Ability to effectively manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously.
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
• Ability to work independently while maintaining a high level of accountability.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Kirkwood, MO.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $37.00 - $52.00/hr.
