Location: Jersey City, NJ
Salary: $100,000–$115,000, with potential flexibility up to $120,000 for an exceptional candidate
Housing: Live-in position with a 2-bedroom apartment and parking spot included; larger accommodations may be available based on availability

We are seeking an experienced Live-In Resident Manager / Maintenance Supervisor to oversee operations at a large, high-rise residential community in Jersey City. This is an excellent opportunity for a hands-on building professional who thrives in a high-volume environment and has experience managing large rental properties.

We are hiring for two separate buildings located next to one another , each consisting of approximately 440 residential units . Each Resident Manager will oversee the day-to-day operations of their assigned property and lead a unionized building staff of approximately seven employees.

This is a highly visible, hands-on leadership role for someone who can manage volume, respond quickly to operational issues, and keep a large residential building running efficiently.

What You'll Do

• Oversee the day-to-day operations of a large, high-rise residential building.
• Manage and supervise a team of approximately seven union building employees.
• Coordinate maintenance operations, repairs, preventive maintenance, and building service requests.
• Ensure the property is properly maintained, safe, and operating efficiently.
• Respond to resident concerns and resolve operational issues in a timely and professional manner.
• Coordinate vendors, contractors, and outside service providers.
• Monitor building systems and oversee maintenance projects and repairs.
• Maintain strong communication with residents, building staff, management, and vendors.
• Prioritize multiple issues in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.

What We're Looking For

• Experience as a Resident Manager, Superintendent, Maintenance Supervisor, or similar residential building leadership role.
• High-volume rental property experience is required.
• Experience overseeing comparable properties of 300+ units .
• Proven ability to manage a building staff and work effectively with union employees.
• Strong knowledge of general building operations, maintenance, repairs, and vendor coordination.
• Ability to remain organized and effective in a demanding, fast-paced environment.
• Strong communication, leadership, and resident service skills.
• High-rise residential experience strongly preferred.
