DUAL SPECIALTY RN - WEEKEND OPTION - INPATIENT DIALYSIS

Required Licensing and Credentials Must be currently licensed in the State of Arkansas as a Registered Nurse. Experience No previous experience required, but helpful. Must be able to communicate effectively and project a professional attitude toward patients, staff, visitors, and students. Physical Requirements This is a safety-sensitive position. Please see the St. Bernards Substance Abuse Policy for additional information. Normal hospital/outpatient environment. Requires close eye work and normal hearing. Exposure to electrical, biological, and chemical hazards potential. Operates various equipment used – ACT machine, Hemodialysis machine, bicarbonate mixer, computer, crash cart, calculator, clamps, syringes with needles, fistula needles. Frequent standing, walking, bending, lifting up to or exceeding 75 pounds, carrying up to 40 pounds, pushing/pulling up to or exceeding 300 pounds. Job Summary Professional nurse directly responsible for therapeutic care of patients with end-stage renal disease. After attaining required experience (12 months clinical experience and additional 6 months dialysis experience; or 18 months dialysis experience), may be required to act as charge nurse in the absence of patient care manager. Teaches home training to CAPD patients after 3 months of on-the-job training by the PD nurse. Performs acute dialysis within 6 months of employment. #J-18808-Ljbffr
