Salary: $21.54 - $26.50

Black Bros. Co. is seeking a General Machine Operator to set up and operate a variety of machine tools and welding equipment. This role is responsible for producing quality parts that meet specifications while maintaining safety and efficiency standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Set up and operate equipment such as lathes, grinders, drill presses, radial drills, and welding tools
• Perform machining operations including turning, drilling, tapping, reaming, and facing
• Select and install tooling, fixtures, and holding devices and adjust feeds and speeds
• Run test parts, verify setup against prints, and make adjustments as needed
• Inspect parts throughout the run to ensure quality standards are met
• Replace worn tooling and maintain equipment lubrication
• Move materials using hand trucks, carts, and pallet jacks
• Report equipment or material issues to supervision
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area

Qualifications

• 13 years of machining or related experience
• Ability to read prints, shop orders, and basic measurements
• Basic math skills
• Experience using precision measuring tools (micrometers, calipers, gauges)

Physical Requirements & Work Environment

• Regular standing, walking, lifting, and handling of materials
• Light to moderate lifting required

Day Shift:6:00 AM to 2:30 PM
