Quality CoordinatorUnder the supervision of the Quality Manager, the Quality Coordinator supports the maintenance and continuous improvement of the site Quality Management System (QMS). This role works cross-functionally with Production, Engineering, Maintenance, and Warehouse teams to investigate quality issues, manage document control, analyze quality data, and support compliance with internal standards and customer requirements.Job duties and responsibilities include managing the site document control system, leading customer complaint investigations, maintaining the corrective and preventive action tracking log, managing pest control monitoring data, leading gauge R&R studies, leading validation activities for laboratory equipment, supporting supplier nonconformance investigations, assisting with internal nonconformance investigations, supporting management of blocked material, preparing the monthly Quality Reserve report, supporting internal and external audits, participating in product development trials, training and supporting Quality Technicians and Quality Specialists, supporting calibration and control of laboratory and quality equipment, conducting quality orientation for new hires, reviewing ISRA vision system data, reviewing and evaluating the current microbiological and environmental monitoring program, serving as backup to the Quality Manager, and performing additional quality-related duties as assigned.Education and experience required include a high school diploma, minimum of two years of quality control laboratory experience, excellent computer skills, understanding of non-woven processing equipment, demonstrated problem-solving abilities, strong written and verbal communication skills, autonomous, meticulous, and rigorous work style, strong organizational skills, initiative, and the ability to work independently while collaborating effectively to meet deliverables.Competencies include attention to detail, problem-solving, technical aptitude, communication, collaboration, decision-making, organization and time management, and initiative.Working conditions include performing work in both office and manufacturing floor environments, exposure to noise, moving machinery, airborne fibers, and production equipment, regular interaction with production lines, quality labs, and warehouse areas, and work that may involve occasional schedule flexibility to support audits, trials, or production needs.Effort/physical demands include ability to stand, walk, and move throughout the manufacturing floor for extended periods, frequent bending, reaching, or lifting materials or samples up to approximately 25 pounds, routine use of computers, inspection tools, measurement devices, and lab equipment, may require climbing stairs or accessing elevated platforms to inspect equipment or processes, and must be able to visually inspect materials and read printed and digital information accurately.Health and safety responsibilities include following all company safety policies, procedures, and PPE requirements at all times, immediately reporting any hazards, unsafe behaviors, or incidents to the Quality Manager or Safety team, participating in safety training, audits, and continuous improvement activities, supporting root-cause investigations for quality or safety-related events and contributing to corrective action development, ensuring that documentation, equipment, and materials within the quality area are maintained safely and in compliance with regulatory and company standards, and promoting a culture of safety and quality by modeling safe work practices and encouraging safe behaviors among coworkers.
