Accounting Manager

Accounting Manager The Accounting Manager oversees daily Accounting Division operations, including supervision of professional staff, management of general ledger activities, monthly and annual financial reporting, and coordination of the Annual Comprehensive Financial Report (ACFR), Single Audit, and SEFA/SESA preparation. Responsibilities Resolve complex accounting issues. Support month‑end and year‑end close. Coordinate internal and external audit requests and implement audit recommendations. Review grant‑related financial reporting. Maintain compliance with GAAP, GASB, Uniform Guidance, and City policies. Support process improvements, develop financial procedures, and prepare annual budget. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, business administration, or related field. Five years of progressive governmental accounting experience. Three years of supervisory experience. Texas CPA license preferred. Valid Texas driver’s license required.
