Certified Respiratory Therapist

As a Certified Respiratory Therapist, you provide diagnostic and therapeutic respiratory care for patients with acute and chronic cardiopulmonary conditions. Working under the direction of physicians and respiratory leadership, you deliver treatments, manage medical gases and ventilators, obtain and analyze blood gases, assist with resuscitation, and maintain artificial airways. You also document care, clean and check equipment, follow infection-control and safety standards, and support patient and family education.
