Job Description

An opportunity is available for an experienced professional skilled in Nursing as a CVOR Tech to support safe and efficient cardiovascular surgical procedures. This contract position is well-suited for individuals who excel in high-acuity environments and are committed to delivering the highest quality patient care alongside a talented surgical team.

Qualifications & Experience:

• Active and current Nursing certification/license relevant to practice as a CVOR Tech
• Demonstrated experience within a CVOR (Cardiovascular Operating Room) setting
• Solid knowledge of cardiovascular surgical instrumentation and sterile technique
• Ability to anticipate the needs of surgeons and respond rapidly during operative procedures
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
• Effective communication skills and ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams
• Current BLS/CPR certification (additional advanced certifications are a plus)

Responsibilities:

• Prepare the cardiovascular operating room with all necessary instruments, supplies, and equipment
• Assist surgical team during procedures by passing instruments and anticipating needs
• Monitor sterile field and maintain strict aseptic technique throughout procedures
• Handle and care for specimens according to established protocols
• Perform sponge, needle, and instrument counts as required
• Ensure all equipment is properly cleaned, sterilized, and stored post-procedure
• Document operative details accurately and maintain patient safety at all times
