Looking to move from General Contractor to Sales?
Our client has a $1M book of business ready for a GC to take over and grow , selling to contractors from Rochester to Albany.
Compensation: $105,000-$120,000.
$90,000-$100,000 base + $20K+ commission, full-time with benefits
Location: Can be based anywhere from Albany to Rochester, but the territory covers most of Northern NY: Newburgh to Rochester to Albany, NY Metro , on the road 3 days per week for sales.
Client: U.S. manufacturer and retailer of premium hardscape products, specializing in concrete paving stones, retaining walls, and outdoor living solutions
We are seeking a former General Contractor/Territory Sales Manager based anywhere in the Newburgh to Rochester to Albany, New York area to help grow sales revenue and maintain customer relationships within an assigned geography. This role is responsible for driving territory sales, identifying growth opportunities, supporting customers, and representing the company in the field. The environment is described as fast-paced and growth-focused, with strong emphasis on communication, organization, and territory execution.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute effective territory sales and marketing strategies
- Analyze data to identify the most effective sales methods
- Meet with customers to address concerns and provide solutions
- Identify sales opportunities through consumer research
- Present products and services to prospective customers
- Participate in trade shows and promotional events to build customer relationships
- Conduct training on sales techniques and company product attributes
- Assess sales performance using KPIs
- Monitor competition within the assigned region
- Perform contractor and homeowner service calls as needed
- Manage sales activity through the company CRM
- Prepare and submit weekly reports to the Regional Sales Manager
Skills and Qualifications
- Proven track record of increasing sales and revenue
- Field sales experience preferred
- Ability to develop sales strategies and use performance KPIs
- Familiarity with CRM systems is a plus
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong organizational ability and leadership capability
- Problem-solving aptitude
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field
- Valid driver’s license preferred
