The University of Colorado College of Nursing is seeking a Women'sHealth Nurse Practitioner (WHNP) / Clinical Instructor / SeniorClinical Instructor / Assistant Professor Clinical (Open Rank) inthe Clinical Practice Faculty Series for a 0.90 FTE positionwith our CU College of Nursing Women's Health Faculty Practice atAnschutz Medical Campus. This is an ambulatory position includingwell-woman, reproductive health, menopause, and gynecological careacross the lifespan. This position is clinically based as a healthcare provider and includes a Clinical Instructor / Senior ClinicalInstructor / Assistant Professor Clinical (Open Rank) appointmentwithin the College of Nursing. For more information,visit . Faculty Practice Description: The CU College of Nursing Women's Health Clinic is an academicpractice model that works collaboratively within the UCHealth andCU system. We offer patients a variety of services includingindividualized care through collaboration with our CU Nursingfaculty practices, with referrals to provider groups within thesystem and community. The practice provides care to patients at theCU College of Nursing Women's Health Faculty Practice at AnschutzMedical Campus. The WHNP is part of an academic clinical practicethat has a long and successful history within the University ofColorado and UCHealth system. This position will join a team ofWHNPs who practice across metro Denver. The WHNPs participate inpractice expansion activities, practice promotion, andinterdisciplinary committees within the UCHealth and CUsystem. Supervision Received: Work is performed independently under the direct supervision of theDirector of Midwifery and Women's Health. Supervision Exercised: Student supervision is required during clinical placements. Examples of Work Performed:
- Provide full-scope care to patientsacross the lifespan including procedures driven by individualexperience.
- Provide care in the outpatient clinic setting.
- Attend monthly practice meetings and participate in a minimum ofone practice and/or College of Nursing committees.
- Educate health care team students (APNs, medical students,residents) and actively participate in student evaluations.
- Participate in practice development, promotion, and communityoutreach.
- Active participation in health plan contracts.
- Remain credentialed by the health plans and ensure credentialingmaterials stay current.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
- Four clinics per week

- Master's degree from an accredited school of nursing
- Current NCC certification
- Current RN, APN and RxN licensures in good standing (AnyState)
- Master's degree from an accredited school of nursing

- Demonstrated leadership in area of practice.
- Demonstrated experience collaborating with academic colleaguesand students in practice activities.
- Doctoral degree from an accredited school of nursing

- Must be willing and able to provide full scope contraceptiveservices and counseling on abortion services
- Must be willing and able to obtain Colorado RN, APN, RxN licensesprior to date of hire
- Must be willing and able to obtain current DEA license within 18months of hire
- Must be willing and able to obtain valid NPI number prior to dateof hire
- Must be willing and able to obtain valid Colorado MedicaidProvider number prior to date of hire
- Must be willing and able to complete CAQH and all credentialingrequirements prior to date of hire
- Must be willing and able to obtain current BLS/CPR certificationby date of hire
- Must be willing and able to actively participation in health plancontracts
- Must be willing and able to remain credentialed by the healthplans and ensure credentialing materials stay current
- Must be willing and able to work in a normal patient careenvironment with some exposure to biological hazards and infectiousdiseases
- Current, active DEA licensure
- Experience precepting advanced practice students
- Exceptional independent judgment to monitor and respond tochanges in a
- client's condition
- Interpersonal skills to work effectively with patients and othermembers of the
- health care team
- Skilled in the use of electronic medical health record
- Excellent knowledge of and ability to perform clinicalteaching
- Ability to effectively develop and promote practice
- Strong collaborative nature
- Willingness and ability to actively participate in health plancontracts
- Ability to remain credentialed by the health plans and ensurecredentialing materials stay current
- Ability to precept advanced practice students
