Healthcare Architect II / Job Captain (Hybrid)

We are supporting an established architecture firm in the Detroit area seeking an Architect II / Job Captain to support its Healthcare team. The firm maintains a diverse portfolio across multiple sectors and is known for a collaborative, team-oriented studio environment.

This role is well-suited for an architect with solid technical and coordination experience who enjoys being hands-on with healthcare project documentation and working closely with Project Managers and Senior Architects. The position offers a hybrid schedule and exposure across all phases of healthcare project delivery.

Responsibilities

• Support healthcare projects through all phases from Schematic Design (SD) through Construction Administration (CA)
• Develop and produce construction documents (CDs) using Revit and AutoCAD
• Coordinate with engineering and specialty consultants as part of the project team
• Assist with RFI and submittal reviews, drawing revisions, and construction-phase documentation
• Maintain organized project files and contribute to internal coordination efforts
• Work collaboratively within a team-oriented studio environment

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Architecture from an accredited program
• Approximately 5-10 years of professional architectural experience
• Strong proficiency in Revit; AutoCAD experience also valued
• Prior experience supporting Healthcare projects is strongly preferred
• Strong organizational, communication, and coordination skills
• Self-motivated and comfortable working in a collaborative setting
